HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT DOG
LIST OF POPULAR PET BREEDS CHECK HERE
Most people select a dog by appearance. They don't bother to take into consideration many factors that are important and if considered will actually make their life as well as their future pets life much happier.
If you want to enjoy your pet then don't rush
out and buy a pet dog solely on the basis of a dog that you think
looks good.
Before you decide on the breed of the dog that you should be
getting, here are some of the things you should take into
consideration before deciding on what type of dog to get for a pet.
1. Consider you living space. Don't think of getting a big dog if
you live in a small apartment. Remember your pet dog will need space
according to its size.
Those living in apartments should also find out
if they can legally keep pet dogs in their suites. Many apartments
that do allow pets usually have restrictions on the size of dogs
that residents can keep.
2. Your lifestyle should also influence your
choice of dog. If you are the outdoor type and like to go jogging,
enjoy sports activity regularly. Then you may consider a dog that is
slightly larger. You can not expect a toy poodle to run beside you
when you go for your daily run.
Some dogs require extra grooming and care than others. Some people prefer fluffy dogs, while others prefer short-haired dogs. Needless to say that dogs with long fluffy hair will shed more than short-haired dogs.
Keep in mind that dogs that shed significantly will require brushing and grooming regularly to control hair shedding to some extent.
4. When shopping for a pet dog, keep in mind the medical condition of your family. Do you have a family member who suffers from dog allergies? If this is the case and you still want to get a dog, then do not pick a dog breed that sheds more.
Shedding hair is one of the biggest problems that dog owners come across and can cause a lot of unhappiness to new dog owners. There are some breeds that shed more and some that shed very little.
Regardless of what some may tell you, there are no breeds of dogs that do not shed at all. So do a little research before deciding on a new pet dog.
Here is a list of some of the dogs that are considered to not have a shedding problem. That is to say shed very little.
